Pick a language once. Everything follows.

Read in sits at the top of the panel. Transcripts, captions and dubbing all appear in that language, and you can change it any time. Leave it on As spoken to keep everything in the original language.

Frequently Asked Questions

: Over 100 languages. Pick one in Read in at the top of the panel, and transcripts, captions and dubbing all follow it. As spoken keeps everything in the original language.
: Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom (web client), Webex, Whereby, Gather and Discord, in the browser. Record the tab and your microphone together so your own voice is included.
: The browser only lets an extension listen to a tab after you click its icon on that tab, or use its keyboard shortcut. You do it once per tab. Microphone recording and uploads don’t need it.
: What you transcribe, translate and dub uses your account’s credit, exactly as it would in the Dashboard. The rates are on the Pricing page.
: With Sign in with VocalStack, the extension gets a key that is never shown, limited to what you allowed on the consent screen. You can also paste a key of your own.
: Not yet. For now you load it in developer mode from a zip, following the install steps on this page. An Edge Add-ons listing comes later.
: Yes. VocalStack for Chrome is in the Chrome Web Store and has its own page.

INSTALL

Load it into Edge, step by step

VocalStack isn’t in Edge Add-ons yet, so you load it yourself in developer mode. It takes about a minute. Edge may remind you that a developer-mode extension is on; that’s expected.

Updating to a new version

Download the zip again, unzip it over the same folder, then click the reload arrow on VocalStack's card in edge://extensions.

Microsoft Edge

01Click Download for Edge and save vocalstack-edge.zip.

02Unzip it: double-click it on a Mac, or right-click it and choose Extract All on Windows. You get a folder named vocalstack-edge.

03Move that folder somewhere it can stay, such as your Documents folder. Edge loads the extension from it every time, so don't delete it.

04Type edge://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.

05Turn on Developer mode with the switch in the left-hand menu (at the top of the page on a narrow window).

06Click Load unpacked, choose the vocalstack-edge folder and click Select Folder.

07Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in the toolbar and choose Show in toolbar next to VocalStack.

08Click the VocalStack icon to open the side panel, then sign in with VocalStack or paste an API key.
