Every recording, readable
Click Transcribe on any podcast, sermon, lecture or meeting in your Media Library. Visitors get a transcript they can read, search and click through, and your videos get captions. No technical knowledge required.
FREE PLUGIN · FROM $0.20 AN HOUR OF AUDIO · WORDPRESS 6.6+[vocalstack_transcript id="123" player="1"]Found in search
Transcripts are part of the page, so search engines read every word that was said, not just the title.
Captions, done
Video blocks get a captions track from the transcript. Nothing to write, upload or sync.
Click to jump
Every sentence plays from its moment in the audio. Speakers are told apart, and paragraphs break where they change.
Safe to publish
The API key stays on your server and visitors never receive it. Daily limits stop anyone running up the bill.
Made for sites that talk
If people speak on your site, VocalStack turns it into text people can read and search engines can index.
Podcasts
PLAYER · TRANSCRIPTEvery episode gets a transcript page that listeners can skim and search engines can index.
Churches and events
PLAYER · BROADCASTPublish the sermon with captions, and let people at home follow a public broadcast as it is spoken.
Councils, schools and universities
RECORD · UPLOADStaff record a meeting or lecture from the page, or upload it, and the transcript is published with it.
Newsrooms and interviews
UPLOAD · TRANSCRIPTUpload an interview once, then quote it with timestamps and named speakers.
Drop it into any page
Every widget is both a block and a shortcode, with the same options. Pick one, set its options and copy the shortcode. The same builder ships in wp-admin under VocalStack → Widgets.
Plays a Media Library file, a VocalStack recording or a live broadcast, with its transcript.
Paste it into any post or page. Only options that differ from the defaults are written out. In the block editor, add the “Audio player” block instead and set the same options in its sidebar: vocalstack/player
Enter what it plays to see a preview.
Never leave wp-admin
The whole VocalStack Dashboard sits below Media. Every audio and video file gets a Transcribe button, in the Media Library and on Audio and Video blocks. Transcripts are saved with the file, you can edit them, and you can export them as PDF, XLSX, SRT or JSON.
Transcriptions
Every transcription on the account: search, filter to "From this site", archive and restore. Start a new one from an upload, a link, or live from a microphone, a tab's sound or a stream URL.
Broadcasts
Create broadcasts, set code, access and language, add and check audio sources, and manage recordings and share links.
Media Library
Every audio and video file with its transcript state, language, speakers and a play button.
Widgets
A shortcode generator with a live preview, and how to restyle widgets.
Settings
Account connection and minutes remaining, transcription defaults, captions, and who may record or upload.
Visitors can't run up the bill
Everything a widget does is billed to the site's VocalStack account. In Settings → Widgets an administrator sets ceilings that no block or shortcode can exceed.
Your theme wins
Widgets read their look from --vocalstack-* custom properties that default to the theme's presets. Plugin selectors sit in :where(), so any theme rule overrides them. Templates can be copied into the theme, and blocks support theme.json and the Site Editor.
